Alberta Express Entry Stream

What is it?

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) offers several pathways for skilled workers and entrepreneurs to immigrate to Alberta.

Why it’s good for French speakers:

1. Alberta gives priority to French-speaking candidates, even without a job offer.

2. One of the easiest Express Entry-linked PNPs with a low points requirement (300 CRS).

How it works?

1. Alberta searches the Express Entry pool for candidates who fit their needs.
2. If selected, Alberta sends you a notification of interest.
3. Once you apply and receive a nomination, you get 600 additional Express Entry points.
4. This leads to an invitation to apply for permanent residence.

Who is it for?

  • 1. You must have an Express Entry profile with a minimum score of 300.
  • 2. You do not need a job offer.
  • 3. You must work in a job that supports Alberta’s economic development.
  • 4. French-speaking applicants are given priority selection.
  • 5. Your intention must be to live and work in Alberta.
