RURAL
FRANCOPHONE
PNP STREAM

For people who want to move permanently to smaller towns and communities in Canada

What is it?

This program is for French-speaking people who want to live and work permanently in smaller cities and towns across Canada, outside the province of Quebec.

These areas are usually called “rural communities” — peaceful places that need workers and welcome immigrants who speak French.

Key Benefits:

1. You can get Permanent Residence directly — you don’t need to first apply for a temporary work permit.
2. Many communities have special programs for French speakers.
3. These places are great for families — peaceful, affordable, and welcoming.

What happens after?

Once you are selected (nominated) by a rural community or province, you can apply for Permanent Residence directly with the Canadian government.

Who is it for?

This PNP stream helps French-speaking skilled workers immigrate to rural Francophone minority communities in Canada. It addresses labor needs and supports these communities’ growth.
